Who we are
Narrative Nexus is a romance reading and writing platform operated by Quantoxt Inc. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you disagree with it, please do not use the Platform.
Data we collect
Account data: email address, username and role (reader, author, admin), plus author profile details such as pen name and payout bank information where you provide it. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Reading activity: your library, bookmarks, followed authors, unlocked chapters, ratings and reviews — needed to sync your experience across devices.
Payments: coin purchases are processed by Paystack. We receive confirmation of payment and coin delivery, but never your card numbers or bank credentials.
Device and usage: basic technical data such as device type, app version and pages visited, used for security, debugging and improving the service.
How we use it
To run your account, deliver chapters and coins, show your library and dashboard, process author payouts, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate about your account, purchases and policy changes. We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure that runs the service: Supabase (authentication, database and file storage) and Paystack (payment processing), each acting under their own security obligations. We disclose data where required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the Platform.
Storage on your device
The site stores a login session, app preferences and cached pages for offline-friendly reading (including the installable app shell and previously opened book pages). Clearing site data or uninstalling the app removes local copies; your account data remains on our servers until you delete it.
Security and retention
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls; databases are only reachable through authenticated server routes, never directly from browsers with elevated keys. We keep account and transaction records while your account exists and as required for financial and legal record-keeping, then delete or anonymise them.
Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. Mature categories labelled 18+ are adults-only and we do not knowingly collect data from children for those areas. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided data can contact us to have it removed.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile in dashboard settings, manage your library and follows, and request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data. Deleting your account removes your profile, library and unpublished drafts; published works are withdrawn from distribution per the Terms. To exercise these rights, use the report page.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after changes take effect means acceptance.
